As our world becomes increasingly uncertain (and often chaotic) it's more important now, more than ever, to slow down and reflect. In addition to the self-care benefits that you can get from hitting pause and reviewing that past, reflecting on the past year can also positively impact your productivity by helping you to gain clarity and direction as you prepare to ring in the new year.
As you go through the questions below, I want to remind you to go slow, be honest with yourself and be kind to yourself if you see some answers that you aren’t too happy about. Finally, allow yourself to dream big as you answer the last four questions.
What are 2-3 significant lessons that you’ve learned about yourself?
How would you describe your relationship with yourself over the past year?
What has been your most meaningful challenge?
How did you overcome this challenge? What strengths did you use? How have you grown through this experience?
What do you need to forgive yourself for?
What do you need to give yourself credit for?
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
How would you describe the past year in a few words?
What are you leaving behind in 2021?
What are you most looking forward to about 2022?
What will be different? Are there any habits, things, people that you want to decrease or spend less time with?
What will you keep the same? What are the things that you want to keep around and build on?
If you were to describe your best hopes for 2022 in one or two words, what would they be?
What Comes After Reflection?
